He Is Our Peace

Words and Music by Laura Larkins/Rick Williams

(Ephesians 2:11-22 & 3:7-11, Colossians 2:9&10)

Look t’ward the possibilities!
You’d think they would tease us
Into pleasin’ our Jesus.

Should we be better men
In all the feelings of anger,
The threats of danger?

Peerin’ ‘round corners
Tearin’ down walls
Are we sisters and brothers?

The world’s grown so small…
He is our peace!
He is our peace!

What constitutes a holy race?
We share Jesus’ blood;
Are we adopted as sons?

Sharing in the cup of God
Infects us and spreads us
United as one.

Peerin’ ‘round corners
Tearin’ down walls
Are we sisters and brothers?

The world’s grown so small…

This is a holy mystery!
The Three are One,  now we’re
Complete in the Son,

Shake off all the excess of Him—
Traditions of men
Rip off the dragon’s skin!—

Peerin’ ‘round corners
Tearin’ down walls
Are we sisters and brothers?

The world’s grown so small…
He is our peace!
He is our peace!

He is our peace,
He is our peace!
