THO' MY FLESH

"None of us live forever, we won't last long. We are not immortal."
Ps. 49:20 The Message

Tho' my flesh goes down to the dust
My soul will ascend on high;
May I stand before you in white.
May I take my own cross
in the faith my Redeemer lives--
That I will be raised with You on high.
The universe is your playground
yet you weep with me
and you will one day wipe away all tears.
May I learn the language you are trying to convey,
and may I please you, Jesus, on that very last day ~

Chorus:
Deliverance belongs to God
and to the worthy lamb;--
To live this life without regret
lean on him! (lean on him, lean on him)

Tho' my flesh goes down to dust
My soul will ascend on high
May I stand before you in white.

May I take my own cross
in the faith my Redeemer lives--
that I will be raised with You on high.

The universe is your playground
yet you weep with me
and you will one day wipe away all tears.
May I learn the language you are trying to convey,
and may I please you, Jesus, on that very last day ~
